U.S. Independence day 2013

There is an interesting parallel this year as we celebrate our 4th of July holiday known as Independence day, one day after the people in Egypt ousted their leader and cancelled the recently adopted Constitution.  Back in 1776 with the signing  of our Declaration of Independence, we were officially separating from the most powerful nation in the world.  Those who defied the King were committing treason and would suffer under the penalty of death if captured.

Today the U.S.A is considered the most powerful nation in the world.  Our nation picks and chooses who is allowed to compete on the global stage.  Egypt for instance rejected their last tyrannical leader who was a U.S. Puppet and now, they have rejected yet another U.S. puppet leader, who was heavily supported by our current President, and was rewarded with 1.6 Billion Dollars of U.S. tax payer money, to help support this new regime.  It almost seems like the tables have completely turned.  In 1776 the U.S. broke away from the English crown while today other sovereign nations fight for their freedom from the U.S. Flag.

Also, we as Americans must consider the the fact that our people today, in many instances actually live under more oppression than the folks did back in 1700’s.  Freedoms they took for granted are now crimes.  Taxes that we pay today have far exceeded what Colonial Americans would have put up with.  Our leader is called a President still but might as well be crowed King, as they pick and choose which laws to enforce and who to enforce them on, while allowing others to go unpunished.  Our Congress is really no better than a landed gentry, who create  their own wealth making cozy deals with big industry on the backs of our citizens whiteout regard to our unalienable rights.

Much of our wealth is sent over seas to assist in the spread of the U.S. empire while back at home some Americans starve in the streets.  The leaders of Industry who play nice with the current regime are granted tax benefits that normal businesses are not granted.  Those who do the bidding of big government are granted positions of power and authority while those who fight for freedom are labeled terrorists and hunted relentlessly.

Today we live under the tyranny our founding fathers warned us about.  It’s not right around the corner, it’s here, today, right now, all around you.

Open your eyes.

FIGHT…
